  Hi, my name is Jo Clarke and I am the Kangas teacher.  I have a Diploma of Teaching specialising in Early Childhood and have had many years experience working with 3 and 4 year old groups.  My kindergarten program is play based with a strong emphasis on creativity and music, I aim to create a stimulating and warm environment where the children are able to develop and learn at their own pace.  I have had many years experience both as a kinder parent and a teacher.

  Hi my name is Fatime and I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education. I have over 9 years experience in working with children and have worked with age groups ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years. I am currently the Educator at St Helena Pre-School for the 3 year old Possum group and the 4 year old Koala group. As an early childhood educator I strongly value the importance of play and believe that children learn best through play. It is through interest based play learning that children will learn and flourish. This is strongly supported by the St Helena Pre-School philosophy, which strongly values the importance of learning through play. In my educational program an indoor/outdoor program is incorporated wherever possible with a variety of quality play activities and experiences in both environments that have been initiated by children, families and educators. This allows for children to make their own choices and where and how they want to play and it also allows for children foster a stronger sense of belonging, being, becoming and growing into capable and competent beings.

  Hi, I’m Cathy and I commenced at St Helena Pre school in 2005.  I have many years of experience in working in Early Childhood Education, completing my Certificate III in Children’s Services in 2010.  It is so rewarding to be part of the wonderful staff, families and children of our pre-school.  I assist Fatime with the Koala group and I have three adult children, two sons and a daughter.  My family and I live locally.

  I feel very privileged to have commenced working at St Helena Preschool in 2004.  I have had many years experience working with children and have completed my Certificate 111 in children services.  I am married with 5 children, my last child attended this Preschool.  I feel very fortunate to work in such a wonderful community spirited kinder with great caring staff, families and children. I assist Jo with the Kangas group.

  Hi, my name is Lidia, I’m married with three children and they all attended St Helena Preschool.  I’ve been working at this kinder since 2005. I thoroughly enjoy working with all our children and watching them develop into independent little people.
